Why You Should Care

My fellow citizen,

For too long, we as residents of Gainesville have allowed our city commission to enact self-interested, anti-business and anti-growth regulation. Our city mantra has been “how much more money and autonomy can we take from the citizen’s?” They’re all hoping you haven’t been noticing. Unfortunately for them, I have noticed.

I am not running for a career in politics or as a city insider. I am a local business owner who is aggravated by the way this city government has been treating its citizens, and you should be too. Help me win this seat on the city commission, and I will ensure that the city government stays off of your back and out of your wallet. The current burdens of regulation and spending that the city commission has levied on us is too large, and our economy demands that attitude changes. The time is now to cast off that burden, as we all try to focus on staying afloat in turbulent times.

Why has our local government become an opposing force in our lives?

More importantly, why have we let them get away with this for so long?

On March 15th, I ask for your vote and the opportunity to serve on the city commission. If elected, I will ensure that the city commission becomes pro-citizen, pro-business, and pro-growth. I will quickly tackle the demanding issues I have outlined on the Know the Issues page. I will hold our city commission accountable to you and, truly, have your best interest at heart.
